Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be transportation to and from the church?

No. The Church is two city blocks from the Waldorf so it’s a very quick walk! If you desire, ubers and CABS are readily available.

What should I wear to the rehearsal dinner?

Cocktail attire is recommended for the rehearsal dinner. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits and ladies are encouraged to wear mini or midi dresses. ANything that sparkles is welcome.

What should I wear to the welcome party?

The Welcome party is open to all! Since the rehearsal dinner is right before, the bridal party will be wearing cocktail attire. Cocktail attire is NOT required for the welcome party, but if you’d like to get dressed up, we’d love that!

Most importantly, what should I wear to the wedding?

Black tie! This means tuxedos for men, and floor length gowns for the ladies. Ladies, our colors are lavender, light blue, and green if you want to embrace the color palette. This is an opportunity to wear something fabulous - think black tie gala in the city, with a touch of parisian chic. The cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting. If it’s too hot or raining, it will be inside the waldorf (don’t worry, Emily won’t risk ruining her hair in the humidity or rain). Check out this Pinterest Board for inspo on what to wear!

Will there be a breakfast the day after?

Although Emily does love breakfast, there will not be any post-wedding brunch. Sleep in, sight see, or enjoy breakfast at one of the many spots near the hotel!
